Airbus
crisis over
Airbus says
it has turned the corner after a crisis connected to production problems and
turmoil in the boardroom at its A380 super-jumbo project that has gone on for
the past year. Speaking at the Paris air show, Louis Gallois, CEO of the
European planemaker, said, "Airbus is back."
Airbus,
which announced a raft of orders on the first day of the show, is
competing with Boeing, its American rival, for the title of the largest
planemaker in the world.
Boeing is
expected to reveal the numbers of orders for its 787 Dreamliner soon. Airbus
orders unveiled on Monday included Qatar Airways confirming a $16bn order for
80 A350 Airbus planes and ordering three A380 super-jumbos for about $750m.
Boeing and
Airbus are also competing for orders from aircraft leasing firms.
Orders from these companies - who rank highly among the biggest global buyers
of aircraft - are often regarded as an indication of how successful a model
will be in the long term.
Airbus also secured orders from US Airways that are worth $10bn for 22 of its A350 jets, 60 A320s and ten of its A330-200 wide-body planes.
A few months ago, Airbus unveiled a major cost-cutting programme aiming to reduce the workforce in Europe by 10,000, as well as announcing a group restructuring. "I can tell you with full confidence that Airbus is back and fully back, as you have started noting yesterday as demonstrated by our first day announcements," said Mr Gallois on the second day of the air show.
However, Boeing also announced a deal with General Electric (GE) on the show's first day. GE's commercial aviation services placed an order for six 777 Boeing freighters valued at around $1.4bn, to be delivered in the last quarter of 2008.
A Wall Street Journal website report, quoting the Delta operating chief yesterday said that Delta Air Lines were on the verge of ordering as many as 125 Boeing 787 jetliners by the end of this year. However, a spokesman for Delta later said that it had been having conversations "with several aircraft makers" and that "no final decision" had been made on future fleet purchases.

This movie is based on script that written by Slamet Rahardjo Djarot and Lintang Sugianto. This movie was directed by Rudi Soedjarwo and was produced by Marcella Zalianty. The Batas was also started by Marcella Zalianty, Arifin Putra, Piet Pagau, Jajang C Noer, Ardina Rasti, Tetty Liz Indriati, Otiq Pakis, Norman Akyuwen, Marcell Domits, and Alifyandra. The genre of this movie is Drama with duration is about 1 hour and 55 minutes. The Batas is a great movie that show the people conditions and the education of Indonesia people in limit area.
The film tells about Jaleshwari , played by Marcella Zalianty . A woman with a strong desire willing to go directly to the interior border between Malaysia and West Kalimantan . The goals was to improve the performance of Corporate Social Responsibility company where she worked in the field of education . In his tenure Borneo Jaleshwari stay at home , one child Dayak. It turns out all is not as desired will , in fact the people in the interior of West Kalimantan have their own social life . They ignored how important the education and a state border . They just live everyday life with cultural insights they uphold . Conflicts arise when Jaleshwari trying to run a simple program learn through school . People are more likely to let their children work in the fields or in neighboring countries is a migrant worker who obviously would make money. Events experienced by Jaleshwari finally made him realize the importance explores the cultural patterns in the environment .
Arriving in there, Jaleswari then introduced to Adeus ( Marcell Domits ) . Adeus , which is the only teacher in the area , thought Jaleswari is a teacher who was assigned to replace the previous shipment teachers who never taught to survive long in the region . Although initially tried to explain as to what the actual task , Jaleswari then feel not bear to see the village children . With the help Adeus , Jaleswari eventually began teaching and close to the village children . At the same time , the arrival Jaleswari actually causes a sense of discomfort in some people , especially on Otig ( Otig fern ) , a man who thinks that the coming Jaleswari only be destructive to the customs and social structures in the village . ' Cold War ' between Jaleswari and Otig was the one who then fill out the story structure limits as well as foster some additional plot Jaleswari which also will lead to the answer of the question why he should be sent to the region .
According to me, Batas was a movie that has a relatively high content of philosophy when compared to other films that circulated in Indonesia's big screen. I think the title describes the location where the limit this story occurred, namely Entikong, a popular area of West Kalimantan because it is directly adjacent to the region of Malaysia. On it, the show the story of the people of the two countries are still coming from the same family and tribe, but separated because of political ideology only two countries into the background while the limit. Besides good in acting, this film was good in superior visual division, also seems to limit the sound display able to present a balanced quality. Also present Dayak cultural influences on his musical composition. Over all, this film show how important to take care of our culture and the nationalism. Then, we can see the reality of life portrait of rural communities living on the border of the Republic of Indonesia . A portrait of the condition of political life and of life are different from Indonesian society in general.
